Shipping Information:
Please note: When standard shipping is selected, Detour Gear Zone determines the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. The carriers that may be used are: U.S. Postal Service (USPS), UPS or FedEx. Shipping charges may be subject to sales tax depending on the tax laws of the state the order is being shipped to.

Most orders ship within 24-48 hours, Monday-Friday.

There is no Saturday or Holiday shipping.

Some items ship within 3-5 Business days.

Back Orders
Due to the many types of products we carry we will occasionally be out of stock on an item that you would like. We will notify you immediately if we are aware that an item must be back ordered. Back orders will be processed immediately upon receipt of additional stock in the order that they are received.

Since we receive shipments for most of our products on a regular and continuing basis, the vast majority of backordered products are back in stock within 3-4 business days.

Oversized & Hazardous Items:

Oversized Items

Shipping bikes, canoes, rooftop boxes and other oversized or heavy items costs extra. Be sure to read the special shipping information that appears on the product page, or on the purchase agreement page which you'll see when you place the item in your shopping basket.

Hazardous Items
Because flammable items must be sent via surface shipping, they may be shipped separately from the rest of your order.

Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

Simply box the shipment back up & return the package to us insured & prepaid within 60 days of purchase. (Shipping charges for sending the returned items to us is your responsibility and Shipping cost for exchanges is your responsibility both ways). Upon receipt, we will credit your credit card for 100% of purchase price + sales tax (when applicable) Returns received more than 60 days after the purchase date are subject to a 15% restocking charge. All returns must be in a resellable condition with all tags & packaging as new, sorry we are unable to accept used equipment for refunds.

Clearance Items:
Clearance items (clearly marked "clearance") are final sales and may not be returned or exchanged. Sale items (marked "sale"), on the other hand, MAY be returned or exchanged.

Climbing Safety Gear, and Search & Rescue Equipment:
For the safety of others and by law, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on any load bearing gear. This includes ropes, carabiners, quickdraws, belay / rappel devices, and harnesses, unless they are found to be defective, in which case you are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If that is the case and you feel the product is defective, please contact us before attempting to return the defective item.
